Sometimes a conversation assumes background that has never been spoken aloud. Context is that supporting information. On the desktop app, open Files to inspect the documents attached to this session. Our fictional Willow Cafe launch brief is ready and marked In context. That indicator tells us it is included. Excluded means it remains attached but is not selected as background.

Give the next question a clear purpose. For example: compare the conversation with the launch brief, and identify decisions still needed. The brief supplies a reference; the question tells the app what to do with it. Review the answer against both sources.

For background you use repeatedly, create a reusable context. In Settings, open Contexts and choose Add New Context. Give it a recognizable name. Enter the information or use the file upload control, then save it. Our example describes the audience, project goal, owners and constraints, and separates confirmed decisions from plans and recommendations.

Now return to Chat and open the book-shaped Contexts control. Search for Willow, select the project context, then choose Done. Check the selected count before asking. The pencil opens the context for editing, so you can review and update it as the project changes.

A saved context and an active selection are different things. Keep only relevant background selected for the conversation. A useful prompt tells the app what to do. Useful context gives it the information to work with.
